Arm balances can look like magic. Bodies floating, feet lifting, gravity briefly negotiated. But underneath that moment of lift is something much more grounded: clear mechanics, strong foundations, and a willingness to play. In Foundations of Flight, we’ll explore the building blocks that make arm balances possible. Through intelligent drills, strength-building patterns, and thoughtful alignment work, we’ll unpack how the hands, shoulders, and core work together to create stability and lift. You’ll explore foundational shapes like Crow and Side Crow, along with progressions that help build both strength and confidence. My approach blends anatomical clarity with a spirit of curiosity so the practice becomes less about “getting the pose” and more about discovering how your body organizes itself to rise. Expect wobbling, learning, laughter, and maybe a moment where your feet surprise you by leaving the ground.
